Head Coach - Chris Hall

The Wiarton Schooners are pleased to announce Chris Hall as their new Head Coach.  Chris brings with him a very strong hockey background and enthusiasm for the game.  We all look forward to his guidance and experience - Welcome Chris to The Wiarton Schooners Jr "A" Hockey Club.

Chris grew up a military brat born in Trenton, ON and moving from base to base which included; Greenwood, NS, Petawawa, ON, Ottawa, ON, Lahr Germany, and Oromocto, NB.

Chris playing his Major Bantam year for the Gloucester Rangers won then the Canadian Tire Cup (All Ontario Bantam Championship) which he followed up playing for Gloucester's Jr. A tier II team.

From that Chris was selected by the Oshawa Generals of the OHL and played for the Generals for 2 seasons.

In Chris' 3rd season he skipped over to the QMJHL and played at home (Ottawa) for the Hull Olympiques.

After suffering a career ending knee injury sustained while playing for the Olympiques, Chris went on to College and completed his diploma in Recreation Facilities and was an assistant coach for his old team the Gloucester Rangers Jr. A.

After graduation, Chris moved to Toronto where he started work with Hockey Canada at theOntario Centre of Excellence's as their Development Coordinator.

Along with his job at Hockey Canada, Chris took on an assistant coaching role with Ryerson University where he stayed on for 3 seasons.

Since Chris' last season with the Ryerson Rams, Chris and his wife Irene started having children and building a family.  Once his son Kaya and daughter Livi could skate Chris found himself back in minor hockey where Chris has been coaching ever since.

Also, Chris runs a very successful hockey program HH HALL'S HOCKEY which is based in Southampton where Chris resides with his family and works for the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.
